The African Jewish Alliance is a unique and fearless organization that unites Jewish and African victims and targets of jihad. What happened to Israelis on October 7, 2023, happens almost daily now to Africans (mostly Christians but also un-Arabized Muslims) in multiple countries. Terrorists chanting Allahu akbar! storm African villages, murder innocents, burn people alive, destroy churches, and rape and enslave women and girls. Jihad groups, ideologically allied with Hamas, assault “infidels” in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Libya, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Somalia, and Sudan.
Yet the world averts its eyes, especially the human rights community which earned its virtuous reputation through its historically strong stance on behalf of blacks, including those enduring South African apartheid. The left had to make a choice: rally humanity against the jihad against blacks and drop its anti-Israel campaigns, or abandon the blacks so they could hurt the Jews.
Jews need black allies and we have them. In early 2024, a leader of the Nigerian community reached in America reached out to Dr. Charles Jacobs, who helped redeem thousands of jihad slaves in Sudan a generation ago, and asked him to form a united group to help Nigerians and others who are suffering the same fate as the Sudanese then and the Israelis now.
The AJA is composed of several African-led American groups — South Sudanese, Igbos, Nigerians Christians, and black Muslims from Darfur. Our speakers include Simon Deng, an escaped slave from Sudan, and Pastor Dumisani Washington, head of the Institute or Black Solidarity with Israel. In February, we got the Chicago City Council to become the first American elected body to pass a resolution against Islamic terrorism in Africa.
We need students on campus to organize and hold events with our speakers.
